Livitrans Sapa Train was put into operation on 1st September 2007, providing transportation service between Hanoi and Sapa. It is a joint venture business between Vietnam National Coal & Mineral Industry Corporation and Vietnam Railway Corporation. At the moment, Livitrans offers 9 carriages with the capacity of more than 350 passengers and the number is expected to expand to accommodate 420 passengers under 15 carriages in the near future. Each carriage has 6 or 7 cabin with one private modern bathroom. There are three kinds of sleeping cabin namely VIP Livitrans 2 berths, private deluxe 2 berths and deluxe 4 berths. The interior decor and facilities are more or less equivalent to a high-class hotel with wood-panelling cabin, LCD television, comfortable berth and air conditioner. Most importantly, meal and bar service is available; catering drinks, confectionary and tasty hot dishes under intimate atmosphere. With professional staff and high class service, Livitrans Express Train will surely satisfy the most demanding guests.  

Special Note:

- One way tickets are available.
- Children under 5 years old are free of charge as they could share berths with their parents.
- Ticket price includes drinks, snacks, newspapers but excludes meals.
- There is no WC in cabins, but there are two in each carriage.
- Meal and bar services are available in a sole carriage
