It is all my personal reason, but there are many reasons leading to the sharp increasing of foreigner passengers using this transportation to discover Vietnam. They are:

1. Cost- saving: It is clear that travelling by train is much cheaper than travelling by airplane or private car. I always pay much money to have comfortable feeling on long-hour trip; however, I absolutely experience the convenience on train with a reasonable cost.

2. Safety: As you known, Vietnam transportation is chaotic; you should not travel there by car. Travelling by train brings no hassle, no worry at all.

3. Good quality services: From my own experience, I found the service on train was good. When I went to Lao Cai by train, I dropped my pocket on the floor because of the hurry of surroundings. And then there was a loud call from a staff on that train to give my pocket back to me. I was impressed with the honesty and hospitality of the staff which made my trip unforgettable.

4. Good view to enjoy the landscape: On the train, you can take a whole look on the landscape and local life passing slowly. It is truly a good way to discover all in one trip.

I hope that you will notice all reasons mentioned above to decide travelling by train or not. But please note that if you want to take the train from outside to Vietnam, you should prepare more; especially Vietnam visa.
